Internet Christians
Coming onto the internet 3 years ago I was impressed with the
number of Christians on-
line. We all flocked to the web as a new ground to be broken and
for the Lord's presence
to be known. A very great and wonderful vision we all had at the
same time. For we all
saw this new world as needing workers for Christ. Many found new
and wonderful ways
to preach and proclaim what we have found to be true ... on a
whole I am sure this tickles
the Lord to no end to see all of us eager to be a part and
messages for Him.
But with the Lords Chosen came also the false and the misguided
Christians. As well as
a slew of Christians who have little to no wisdom and on the
mature scale fall short of
any growth at all. The fruit they bring to the web is sour and
harsh they have lost sight of
the Good News they are to proclaim. They are quick to judge and
find splinters in
everyone eyes. Only they are right only what their small minds
can understand can be
true. They preach fear and judgment and do not understand the
mercy of God. I
personally think the spirit finds it hard to teach them anything
and I am sure he is grieved
by their somewhat cold hearts.
Those of us who have been drowned in the Love of the Lord have a
responsibility to be
the wiser ones. We must shine out above these who do more harm
then good. We must
quickly counteract their harsh words with the true words of God's
love and mercy.
We must not fight over the Word with them for as Paul said they
fight over things they do
not understand. And I am convinced they do not understand the
love of our Lord too well
... for if they did they would greet all with the Love of Christ
and not use His word to
slice all threw. The sword of the word is to be used only upon
ourselves and we must be
very careful as not to use it to cut others. For in so doing we
demean the Word to
unbelievers and we only feed our own pride.
